The employees of Hansa Stroi JSC who are interested in the history of their country visited the Historical and Memorial Museum "Smolny" which is within the walking distance of the company's office.

The Museum "Smolny" was established on December 28, 1991.

The Museum is dedicated to the history of the building, which gained its worldwide fame as the headquarters of the 1917 revolution. Before the revolution there was a first Russian state women's educational institution "The Smolny Institute for Noble Maidens" in this building.

The exposition of the museum reflects all the main stages of the building's history - "The Smolny Institute for Noble Maidens", "Smolny - Residence of the First Soviet Government 1917-1918", "Smolny. Blockade Days» and "Business Smolny".

Smolny is a museum you cannot just get into from the street - you should plan this visit in advance by registering the admission to Smolny. But it's worth it! You will find yourself in a diverse world during the hour and a half excursion: the world of the current and the past government, the Institute for Noble Maidens and the revolutionary headquarters.
